Incapacity for work and rehabilitation

An employee’s incapacity for work can cause a business to incur tremendous costs. Rassers helps businesses avoid financial harm whenever possible, for instance by getting things back on track when a difficult situation arises – and, if necessary, by conducting dismissal proceedings or litigating against the Employee Insurance Agency UWV, e.g. in the event an employer has been ordered to continue paying the employee's salary for an extended period (loonsanctie).

Our services

We help employers understand their rights and obligations in respect of an employee’s incapacity for work and rehabilitation. We advise, negotiate with employees and their representatives, and coordinate – if necessary – properly motivated dismissal proceedings.

Our areas of expertise

The lawyers at Rassers have the know-how and expertise to flawlessly guide entrepreneurs through what they often perceive as a minefield. Not only in case of physical illness, but also in more complex situations, for example when employees have mental or addiction problems.

This is how we do it

The primary goal of our work is always to limit the damage for our clients by encouraging employees to get back to work as soon as possible. We take full advantage of all legal possibilities, however limited they may be.

We advise on the possibilities for initiating dismissal proceedings in the event of employees who are capable of yet unwilling to take steps to hasten their recuperation or rehabilitation. In that case, we prepare a solid file and litigate if necessary.
